Learning, Working and Achieving Together
On the 17th January 2017 Heba (year 5) and Harleen(year6) had an amazing opportunity to take part in prestigious 'We Schools' event, at Thomas Goode & Co situated in Central London.
The children performed eloquently infront of highly influential people, such at Lord Rumi Verjee, Marc Kielburger and dircetors from boots, the Chemist.
Their speech, on the imoprtance of volunteering and looking after our world, was admired by all. The girls spoke passionately around the issues of hardships, poverty, and hunger within developing countries. They stated how Yeading spread awareness of equitable employment and supported sustainability through fund raising for 'We Schools'.
Yeading Junior School are very proud to be represented by such confident, compassionate and highly determined induviduals, who embrace our character codes and accomplised a flawless performance.
In return of our amazing work 'We Schools' have acknowledged our actions ar 'Keepers of the World' and have invited us to join the 'WE Day Movement' this year.
Paramjit Chander (Governor at Yeading Junior School) attended Parents Evening to support and promote reading. We as a school work closely with Yeading Library to encourage pupils to read frequently and enjoy books.
Reading is an essential part of learning and broadens their knowledge enabling them to understand and enjoy all subject at school. Please continue to encourage your children to read everyday.
