Update on Zoom Lessons

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope that you are all well. Thank you to all those who successfully managed to join the Zoom meetings. Hopefully others will soon be able to join in.  If there are any difficulties please contact the Children and Family team members in particular Ms Iwobi or Rozina on the following email address office@yeadingjuniorschool.co.uk

We have planned some really interesting remote learning that will consist of two daily zoom sessions or pre-recorded videos from the Oak National Academy together with other video or web links plus some related learning activities. Each week the weekly update for each year group will be posted online as well as the planning containing the learning links. Children will also need to use Active Learn for reading, TT Rockstars for times tables and will also engage in spelling activities. From time to time project work will be uploaded on the Year group page.

Please note any work the children wish to share with their teacher can be submitted to the year group email year group email ensuring their name and class is on it. If more than one piece of work is sent please could you attach them to one email so that it is easier for the teachers.

The timing of the zoom sessions for your child are:    9.30 am   and  12.30 pm

Please follow the link below for the morning session at 9.30am:

The links have been sent individually to classes for safeguarding reasons.

Please follow this link below for the afternoon session at 12.30pm:

The above links will last for one week and will be renewed next week. From time to time the zoom will be replaced by two pre-recorded lessons from the Oak National Academy.  Please do not pass this link to another parent in a different class as the teacher will only admit children from their own classes.

We ask that parents support their child to log in from home. Please do remember that the lesson is for your child just as it would be in school. If you need to ask the teacher any information please do so on the office email:  office@yeadingjuniorschool.co.uk  During the virtual lessons we expect the same high standards of behaviour as in school.  The chat function will be disabled and children will need to use the raise hand function if they wish to ask a question. Teachers will mute the children at the beginning of each session and unmute as required during the session.  I do know that teachers have been working hard and are delighted to see you.

Thank you for your continued support.

With best wishes
