School Closure

Dear Parents/Carers,                                         20/03/20
Re: Coronavirus update – school closure to most pupils
Following on from my last update, I am now writing to let you know that the school will close today to almost all children until further notice.
As advised by the Government, we are doing all we can to stay open for the children of key workers and children with certain needs.
We have published the Government list of key workers on our website and sent out relevant text messages. We will contact those who have requested a place in our provision.
All other children will need to stay at home, so we ask that you do not send your child into school from Monday onwards.
Please note that this is a national closure – as you may have heard in the news – so while it is a challenging situation, we are not alone. We will inform you through our school website and by text of any changes.
What we will continue doing while your child is at home:
Your child’s learning is of course important to us, so we will continue to help your child to learn.
During school closure you will be able to access learning materials for your child via the school website.   (www.yeadingjuniorschool.co.uk)  The work will be updated on a weekly basis.
To access the learning materials, please click:
    Menu
    Key Information
    Home Learning
    Select year group 3/4/5 or 6
We have also provided additional website links which allow children to access a wide range of learning materials.
This is as much as we know right now and we appreciate your continued patience as we deal with this ever-changing situation. If you have any queries or concerns please contact us at office@yeadingjuniourschool.co.uk
More information will follow in due course.  In the meantime stay safe and follow the Government guidelines.
Thank you for your support during this uncertain time.
With best wishes
Yours sincerely

Mrs CA Jones
