Everyone Wants Yeadoes

The Board of Directors of the Bank of Yeading have had a busy time recently.

Our Personal Financial Education work continues to grow and we were delighted earlier in the year to feature in the Sunday Telegraph.

In relation to financial skills and competence, children at Yeading Junior School have their own savings account. This helps children to deal with day-to-day money management issues and to begin thinking about planning for the future, e.g benefits of interest earned.

The Yeadoes system not only teaches children the practical importance of personal finance, but acts as a rewards system for the following: attendance at school, punctuality, reading at home after school hours and the having the a full P.E. kit at school.

The good attendance and behaviour amongst the children has generated a significant number of Yeadoes within school.
