Character Education
At Yeading Junior School, Character Education is at the heart of learning and threaded through the curriculum as well as the school culture and is a part of everyday school life.
Through Character Education the school engages in tailored projects which provide an important vehicle for children to develop. Character Education incorporates a range of activities and projects – embracing volunteering for a charity, caring for someone in the community, campaigning or fundraising for a specific cause.
At Yeading Junior School all children are ‘Changemakers’. All pupils are true representatives of the ten Character Virtues which the school has embedded in its ethos. These Virtues are:
Resilience Teamwork Compassion Respect Volunteering Pride Curiosity Reflection Dignity Determination
Our Character Virtues enable children to develop as strong young citizens and future leaders who make a real difference to themselves, their community and beyond. They become reflective and curious learners who thrive in an environment where exciting opportunities enrich the curriculum.
