  • Creative Thinking

    Children from Year 3 have been showing off their artistic skills having been inspired by Auguste Rodin, a famous French Sculptor.

    Having studied about the famous French Sculptor; Auguste Rodin the children were asked to think about one of his more famous sculptures called ‘The Thinker’. They were asked to create drawings or sculptures which reflect his work.

    Auguste Rodin was a brilliant sculptor and was responsible for works such as The Thinker, The Kiss and The Burghers of Calais.

    The children produced outstanding pieces of artwork which were both creative and informative.

  • Roald Dahl Museum Visit

    A group of children from Yeading Junior School visited the Roald Dahl Museum.

    We were all very excited to see the wonders of the Museum; Roald Dahl’s writing shed, The Gypsy House and the shop.

    All in all, we had an adventurous time finding out where he got his magnificent inspiration from!

  • Year 6 Transported to the 1940s

    Children from Year 6 were transported back to the 1940's as they took part in World War II workshops.

    They were transported back to the 1940s where they imagined what it would be like to be a child during the war.

    It was a fantastic experience for the children, as they role played going into an air raid shelter and experienced the feelings of the children as they waited for the bombing raid to pass.

    They also thought about life at home where they were separated from loved ones producing small cameo plays to portray the events
