Pupil Premium

PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

This year, for every child registered for Free School Meals we get £1455. We use this to fund a range of different learning opportunities and activities which has enables us to further support children's English skills and problem solving in Maths.

If you are registered for Free School Meals you too could also support your child's education through bringing funding into the school.  If you don't want your child to have school meals they can continue as normal - as long as you qualify and are registered the school will still receive the extra funding.

Do you qualify?

You can register for Free School Meals if you get any of these benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The Guarantee element of the State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit an have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190
  • Working Tax Credit 'run-on' - the payment someone may receive for a further four weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
