    Yeading Junior School is a community school for children between the ages of 7 and 11.  Admission to the school for children in Years 3 to 6 is arranged by the Local Authority.  (London Borough of Hillingdon)

    Applying for an In-Year Space at Yeading Junior School

    If you would like to apply for a place at Yeading Junior School, please complete the application form on the Hillingdon admissions website https://www.hillingdon.gov.uk/schooladmissions

    After you have completed your online application, Hillingdon Local Authority will contact Yeading Junior School to advise us if a space is offered to your child.

    Once admissions have confirmed that your child has been allocated a place, we will contact you to invite you in for a welcome meeting and assist you with completing the pupil information forms.  This is a chance for you to:

    • Meet with a member of our Pastoral Team
    • Find out when your child will be starting school
    • Ask us any questions you may have about your child starting school
    • Help your child settle into school

    Applications for in-year places are subject to our planned admission number for each year group.     A meeting for all parents of new children joining us in September will be arranged to take place towards the end of the summer term.  Please join us to learn more about our school.  Should the date and time be inconvenient you are asked to contact the school to make another appointment.  The Headteacher will be pleased to meet with you.

    All parents are asked to read sign the Home/School Agreement form.

    Our Transition Journey

     Below are the outline of the events that take in the transition process:

    • Prospective parent meeting - Wednesday 18th November at 5:00pm in the school hall
    • Infant school assembly with Mr Hall and Mrs Kaur
    • Year 2 write to and receive letters from their Year 5 buddy
    • Year 5 children support Year 2 sports day activities
    • Headteacher’s welcome letter sent to parents
    • Parent transition meeting
    • Year 2 and Year 5 buddy time - afternoon of games and questions on our field
    • Meet the teacher morning in new classrooms
    • Year 2 swimming sessions in our school pool
    • Transition morning - Year 2 children spend time with their teacher at YJS
    • Parents meet the teachers and school tour
