To achieve our mission, effective communication is essential for our Community House to build strong connections with parents and local residents. We utilise a variety of channels to ensure our messages are accessible and inclusive. These include emails, text messages, verbal updates, flyers, word of mouth,
WhatsApp groups, and face-to-face conversations. We aim to engage the community in a way that is convenient, clear and responsive to their needs.
The Community House can play a pivotal role in the betterment of our pupils and families school experience. This includes:
Supporting holistic goals: Our Community House serves as a space for parental engagement, working with them and supporting them to better manage the challenge school may present
Strengthening community partnerships: As a school, we are readily able to collaborate with local organisations and government bodies to expand the offer and uptake of local initiatives and resources
Enhancing school identity and values: We pride ourselves on being a community school, with the Community House supporting us to consistently ensure our school families understand and are part of our school mission
Promoting parent on parent support and peer groups: The Community House readily offers parents to opportunity to identify and initiate a support network of other parents and establish these relationships for the long term
Promoting and supporting the pastoral care of our school families: we focus on a holistic approach to well-being, helping our families cope with difficulties, promoting personal growth, and fostering a sense of community and care with the overriding aim that this support and growth positively impacts their children’s achievements and school experience.
Upskilling and supporting the educational development of our parents and school families: The community house supports parents in key areas such as learning the English language, reading and maths with a view to them better understanding and supporting their children's learning in school
