Yeading Junior School
Learning, Working and Achieving Together
At Yeading Junior School - the happiness, health and safety of the children are treated as priorities by all staff.
Our aims are to assist each pupil to fulfil their own potential both academically and socially and to create a caring environment where pupils are valued for who they are, not just for what they can do. We have an array of systems and people in place to assist us from Learning Mentors to Peer Ambassadors.
At Yeading Junior School, Character Education is at the heart of learning and threaded through the curriculum as well as the school culture and is a part of every day school life.
Through Character Education the school engages in tailored projects which provide an important vehicle for children to develop. Character Education incorporates a range of activities and projects – embracing volunteering for a charity, caring for someone in the community, campaigning or fundraising for a specific cause.
At Yeading Junior School all children are ‘Agents of Change’. Selected children are 'Special Agents of Change' leading the way with Social Action. These Agents are true representatives of the ten Character Virtues which the school has embedded in its ethos. These Virtues are:
Resilience Teamwork Compassion Respect Volunteering Pride Curiosity Reflection
Dignity Determination
